Half a lap of Lumpini, a kilometer along the elevated Green Bridge above the canal and the rooftops, then down through Benjakitti's forest park and round its lake. It starts at MRT Si Lom and finishes near MRT Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, so you never retrace a step.

03Start here

Lumpini main gate, by MRT Si Lom

Come up at MRT Si Lom Exit 1 and enter Lumpini at the main gate. Run the loop anticlockwise along the south and east sides.

    Finish: from the lake's south end, walk south to the exit.

    Keep right for the bridge 1.4 km

    Where the loop bends west, keep right and north: the new link to the Green Bridge starts inside the park by the dog park.

    Up onto the bridge 1.7 km

    Ramps and lifts take you up. Walkers and runners have the paved side; bikes have their own lane.

  3. 3

    Above the canal 2.1 km

    A kilometer above Khlong Phai Singto and the rooftops, with Benjakitti's forest ahead.

    Down into the forest 2.4 km

    Take the ramp down into Benjakitti Forest Park and turn south along its west side.

    Over to the lake 4.4 km

    Head east to the lake loop. Run it anticlockwise and finish at its south end.

06Local etiquette

  • Stop for the anthem at 8:00 and 18:00, even mid-bridge.
  • Keep off the bike lane on the bridge.
