A lap of the path around Lumpini Park is about 2.6 km, so laps make any distance. Two MRT stations sit at its corners, water and toilets line the loop, and at dawn you share it with runners, tai chi groups and some of the park's 400-odd monitor lizards.

02Go at the right time

  • 5–8 amCoolest, and the loop is at its most social. Busiest around 6.
  • 6–8 pmAfter-work crowd; still warm. Lumpini Running Club sets off from the Rama VI statue after the 6 pm anthem on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

03Start here

Main gate, Rama IV × Ratchadamri corner

Come up at MRT Si Lom Exit 1 and walk through the main gate by the King Rama VI statue. The loop passes just inside.

    Rama IV corner 0.7 km

    The loop turns north here. MRT Lumphini Exit 3 is just across the road, the other easy way in.

    Turn left across the park 1.3 km

    The loop cuts west across the park here instead of following the outer edge to the corner.

  3. 3

    North corner 2.0 km

    The loop swings south-west for the long straight back to the gate.

06After the run

  • Lumpini Park Hawker CentreOpened in April 2026 on the Ratchadamri Road side; the morning shift starts at 5 am.

Local etiquette

  • Run anticlockwise, like everyone else.
  • Stop where you are when the anthem plays at 8:00 and 18:00.
  • Give the monitor lizards room; they cross without warning.
  • Bikes share the loop only from 10 am to 3 pm.
